Every day we come back to Cromwell, there seems to be ten more new folders added to Document Mountain. We've been asked by classmates and teachers what we're actually doing here. "So you're just doing regular intern stuff?" "Are you cleaning out closets and getting coffee?" No, and no. While we technically are doing "office work," it is definitely the best office work you can imagine. The drawings keep getting more impressive, the details become more intricate, and I'm learning more than I thought I ever would from old hand-drawn plans.
Clint told us that we could do whatever we wanted to organize the folders. With my OCD, of course we alphabetized it. 26 post-it notes and an adventure to find staples later... we finally have the room organized so we can get started going through the rest of the Mountain.

Some of my favorite things we found today going through folders were the original plans for the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house and the Barton Pavilion at the University of Arkansas. It is so cool to me to be able to see drawings of buildings that I have actually been to and where I'll be spending the next five years of my life! Other things we have found so far in the office include the bathroom, the ice machine, and the supply room... the necessities. All of the employees are getting used to the two of us walking around, usually lost, and are really helpful in getting us accustomed to the Cromwell office. Next week Clint will be going over our research for the Container Homes that we have been working on and looking at our designs! Good things to come.
